Miss Kisses at the Wishing Window to the World

Jada and Miss Kisses
bond at lunch sharing a salad of second grade secrets
during the Picasso lecture intermission

Jada holds the camera
poised with no shaking like the teacher said
for her shot from the top of the world
but Miss Kisses is in the way
caught dreaming of all she could have
instead of all she can not (still not moving)

and Jada snaps anyway
because everything is a picture
when a camera is burning your hands
